Would it be justifiable to classify and remember Idi Amin, as a tyrant, murderer, scoundrel, and former president and dictator of Uganda?

Without a doubt, that is the way he will be remembered by those who are familiar with the rein, of terror of Idi Amin, and the pain and suffering he caused the Ugandan people.

Yours truly lived in Essex England in the 1970s, and remembered the thousand of Indians, that Idi Amin; the Hitler-like monster expelled from Uganda: the place of their birth, thus they seek refuge in places such as England, and other nations in Europe. I saw with my very eye, that some of the arrivals from Uganda had nothing more than what they were wearing on their backs. Thanks to the late tyrant Idi Amin!

The former dictator of Uganda whos name became a 1970s synonym for brutality, and misrule, ded after four weeks in a coma in a Saudi Arabia hospital. Human rights groups blamed Idi Amin for the death of not less than 100,000 people. Amin died on Saturday, 17th of August in King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Jiddah, hospital staff said.

Amin had been on life-support since July 18, and suffered kidney failure. According to the government of Uganda, Idi Amin was 80, years old when he died. However, other sources said he was 78. Amin settled in Saudi Arabia after he was overthrown in 1979

In Kampala, the Ugandan capital, people remembered him with anger, and lamented that he was never brought to justice for the crimes he committed during his eight years in power.

A communique from Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni's office said Amin's death was "good."

" His death and burial will signal the end of our bad past," said presidential spokesman Oonapito Ekonioloit. Amin was buried in Jiddah's Ruwais cemetery after sunset on Saturday, according to a person close to the family in the Red Sea port city. The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said he was told few people attended the funeral. table>
